2. Installation guide
Installation should be straight-forward and does not require admin privileges.
- Download the executable.
- Run the installer.
- No admin priviledges should be required for installation.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- Upon completion, you are asked whether to run Bang Wallpaper Plus.
3. Uninstall
Bang Wallpaper Plus comes with an uninstall routine that runs without admin privileges.
- Open the folder with Bang Wallpaper Plus on your computer.
- Double-click on uninstall.exe.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
4. Settings
Bang Wallpaper Plus from version 1.1 displays a box with host information such as hostname, IP, username. You may disable this feature as follows:
- On your computer, press the start button.
- Navigate to the programs and to Bang Wallpaper Plus.
- Left-click on settings, a dialog with settings for Bang Wallpaper Plus will now open.
- Uncheck the tick box display host info.
- Press OK.
- In the start menu folder left-click on Bang Wallpaper Plus.
You may as well change settings for Bang Wallpaper Plus by editing a configuration file. The procedure works as follows:
- Open the folder with Bang Wallpaper Plus on your computer.
- Right-click on the file bang.ini.
- Open bang.ini with an editor (such as notepad or wordpad).
- If you want to dispense with host information, the entry in the line hostinfo=yes will have to change to hostinfo=no.
- If you look for an alternate image source, the entry in the line source=bing will have to change to source=heise. Note that heise as an image source is considered experimental.
- Save your changes.
- Close the file bang.ini.
- Your changes will take effect the next time you run Bang Wallpaper Plus.
